Alexandra Albair

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Practicum Student

Biography

We would love for everyone to meet Alex, our enthusiastic doctoral practicum student pursuing her PsyD at Ponce Health Sciences University – St. Louis Campus. If there is one word that describes Alex, it is “grit.” She’s been an invaluable addition to our team, bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to every aspect of our practice. Alex is particularly interested in working with people who are neurodivergent, have been traumatized, or struggle with personality disorders. She also enjoys collaborating with community outreach and medical organizations.

Alex received her Associate of Occupational Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Pima Medical Institute in 2013. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI, with a minor in Psychology. Along with her academic pursuits, Alex works at a level-one trauma center, demonstrating her dedication to patient care and professional growth.

Alex has a decade of diverse experience in allied health in Denver and St. Louis, where he has assisted radiologists with life-saving interventions. Her global exploration broadened her perspective and improved her ability to connect with clients. Alex thrives on collaborative self-discovery journeys and believes in mutual learning. She works with dedication and compassion to help others achieve personal growth and well-being.

When she’s not studying, she can be found spending quality time with her chihuahua puppy, Karma, or rooting for her children at sporting events. She also enjoys eating delicious foods and capturing the beauty of the world through photography.

“Your task is not to be seen, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -Rumi
