Faith Brown
Counselor in Training
Faith Brown is a counseling professional dedicated to helping individuals, children, and families feel heard, supported, and empowered during some of life’s most difficult moments. She brings a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, crisis support, and evidence-based practices.
Faith is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Northwestern University and has advanced graduate training in School Counseling from the University of Missouri–Columbia, where she was recognized as an MPSI Scholar. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude. Her academic and clinical training is complemented by hands-on experience in both community and school-based settings.
Through her work as a Victim Advocate at TrueNorth of Columbia, Faith supported survivors of domestic and sexual violence by providing crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, and legal advocacy. This experience strengthened her ability to meet clients where they are, respond calmly in high-stress situations, and create a safe space for healing. She also has experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
In addition, Faith has worked with the Missouri Prevention Science Institute implementing evidence-based interventions in school environments, supporting youth and families through structured, research-backed approaches. Her clinical training includes Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Informed Care, allowing her to tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs.
Clients often choose Faith for her ability to combine clinical knowledge with genuine empathy, active listening, and a strong commitment to helping people build resilience, improve relationships, and move forward with confidence. She strives to create a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
