Meet Trista Heavin, a compassionate and warm therapist who is dedicated to guiding individuals through life’s challenges. With a background in Psychology and Criminal Justice, Trista’s fascination with human behavior drives her passion for helping others. She’s currently expanding her expertise with a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Central Methodist University.
In her therapy sessions, Trista fosters a warm, welcoming environment. She employs a blend of person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her goal is to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings, facilitating personal growth and clarity.
A proud small-town Missouri native, Trista is a lifelong vegetarian and animal lover who finds peace in nature. She enjoys hiking, floating, camping, and has a special talent for finding four-leaf clovers.
Looking ahead, Trista aspires to earn a Doctorate in Counselor Education, aiming to inspire future mental health professionals. For Trista, counseling is not just a career but a calling. She believes that while we can’t always control our circumstances, we can always change our perspective—a belief she brings to every session.
