Whitney Watts - Counselor in Training

Whitney is a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping adolescents and adults feel more grounded, understood, and in control of their emotional lives. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of West Alabama and brings strong experience in behavioral health support and crisis care.

Whitney works with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. She focuses on helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed or “stuck” to gaining clarity, stability, and practical tools they can use in daily life. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard and supported while working toward meaningful change at their own pace.

Whitney is currently training in Brainspotting, EMDR, and CPT. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered as they work toward healing and meaningful change. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to providing inclusive, respectful care that honors each person’s identity and lived experience.

Clients can expect a therapist who is engaged, supportive, and focused on helping them feel better—not just talk about it, but build real momentum toward change.

Outside of her clinical work, Whitney enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenagers, being near any body of water, thrifting, and reading.
